What is libconfuse2
libconfuse2 is:
libConfuse is a configuration file parser library written in C. It supports sections and (lists of) values (strings, integers, floats, booleans or other sections), as well as some other features (such as single/double-quoted strings, environment variable expansion, functions and nested include statements).
It makes it very easy to add configuration file capability to a program using a simple API.
There are three methods to install libconfuse2 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libconfuse2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libconfuse2 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libconfuse2

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libconfuse2 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libconfuse2
Install libconfuse2 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libconfuse2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libconfuse2
How To Uninstall libconfuse2 on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the libconfuse2 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libconfuse2

To uninstall libconfuse2 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libconfuse2
Remove libconfuse2 Configurations and Data
To remove libconfuse2 configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libconfuse2
