In this tutorial we learn how to install libclblast1 on Ubuntu.

What is libclblast1

libclblast1 is:

CLBlast is a modern, lightweight, performant and tunable OpenCL BLAS library written in C++11. It is designed to leverage the full performance potential of a wide variety of OpenCL devices from different vendors, including desktop and laptop GPUs, embedded GPUs, and other accelerators. CLBlast implements BLAS routines: basic linear algebra subprograms operating on vectors and matrices.

This package provides the shared library.

There are three methods to install libclblast1 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install libclblast1 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install libclblast1 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install libclblast1

Install libclblast1 Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install libclblast1 using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install libclblast1

Install libclblast1 Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install libclblast1 using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install libclblast1

How To Uninstall libclblast1 on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the libclblast1 package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove libclblast1

Uninstall libclblast1 And Its Dependencies

To uninstall libclblast1 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove libclblast1

Remove libclblast1 Configurations and Data

To remove libclblast1 configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge libclblast1

Remove libclblast1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove libclblast1 configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libclblast1
