Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install libberkeleydb-perl on Ubuntu.
What is libberkeleydb-perl
libberkeleydb-perl is:
Provides BerkeleyDB::Hash, BerkeleyDB::Btree etc. classes that allow access to Berkeley DB databases as if they were normal Perl hash tables.
Supports all the features of Berkeley DB such as sharing cache and lock memory between processes, logging and transactions.
There are three methods to install libberkeleydb-perl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libberkeleydb-perl Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libberkeleydb-perl using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libberkeleydb-perl

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libberkeleydb-perl using apt by running the following command:
