In this tutorial we learn how to install jed-common
on Ubuntu.
What is jed-common
jed-common is:
Jed is a small, fast and powerful text editor.
This package provides the S-Lang runtime files that are needed by both jed and xjed.
There are three methods to install jed-common
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install jed-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install jed-common
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install jed-common

After updating apt database, We can install jed-common
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install jed-common
Install jed-common Using aptitude
