In this tutorial we learn how to install iso2mesh-tools on Ubuntu.
What is iso2mesh-tools
iso2mesh-tools is:
This package contains 3D mesh generation and repairing tools that can be used independently and invoked inside iso2mesh.
These tools include cgalmesh (3D mesh generation from volumetric
images), cgalpoly (3D mesh generation from polyhedral surfaces),
cgalsimp2 (triangular surface simplification), meshfix (3D
surface cleaning and repairing), and jmeshlib (3D surface cleaning).
There are three methods to install iso2mesh-tools on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install iso2mesh-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install iso2mesh-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
