In this tutorial we learn how to install installation-birthday on Ubuntu.

installation-birthday is:

Installing this package will celebrate each birthday of your system by automatically sending a message to the local system administrator.

The installation date is based on the system installation time, not this package. The email is sent via cron(8).

There are three methods to install installation-birthday on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
