This library offers a system imitating the type system of the C programming language, to be used on bytevectors. C’s type system works on raw memory, and bytestructures works on bytevectors which are an abstraction over raw memory in Scheme. The system is in fact more powerful than the C type system, elevating types to first-class status.

There are three methods to install guile-bytestructures on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install guile-bytestructures Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install guile-bytestructures using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install guile-bytestructures

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install guile-bytestructures using apt by running the following command:
