What is golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev

golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev is:

The yaml package enables Go programs to very comfortably encode and decode YAML values. It was developed within Canonical as part of the juju project, and is based on a pure Go port of the well-known libyaml C library to parse and generate YAML data quickly and reliably.

The yaml package supports most of YAML 1.2, but preserves some behavior from 1.1 for backwards compatibility.

Specifically, as of v3 of the yaml package:

There are three methods to install golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev

We can use the following command to remove golang-gopkg-yaml.v3-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
