What is gnustep-gui-common
gnustep-gui-common is:
The GNUstep GUI Library is a powerful library of graphical user interface classes written completely in the Objective-C language; the classes are based upon the OpenStep specification, and provide the user with a traditional nextstep-like look and feel.
This package contains the common files needed by the GNUstep GUI library.
There are three methods to install gnustep-gui-common on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnustep-gui-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gnustep-gui-common using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gnustep-gui-common
Install gnustep-gui-common Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gnustep-gui-common using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gnustep-gui-common
Install gnustep-gui-common Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gnustep-gui-common using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gnustep-gui-common
How To Uninstall gnustep-gui-common on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the gnustep-gui-common package we can use the following command:
