on Ubuntu.
What is gnuplot-data
gnuplot-data is:
Gnuplot is a portable command-line driven interactive data and function plotting utility that supports lots of output formats, including drivers for many printers, (La)TeX, (x)fig, Postscript, and so on. The X11-output is packaged in gnuplot-x11.
Data files and self-defined functions can be manipulated by the internal C-like language. Can perform smoothing, spline-fitting, or nonlinear fits, and can work with complex numbers.
This package contains data-files which are used by -nox, -x11 and -qt.
There are three methods to install gnuplot-data
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gnuplot-data Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gnuplot-data
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gnuplot-data

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gnuplot-data
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install gnuplot-data

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install gnuplot-data
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install gnuplot-data
How To Uninstall gnuplot-data on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the gnuplot-data
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gnuplot-data
Uninstall gnuplot-data And Its Dependencies
To uninstall gnuplot-data
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gnuplot-data
Remove gnuplot-data Configurations and Data
To remove gnuplot-data
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gnuplot-data
Remove gnuplot-data configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove gnuplot-data
