In this tutorial we learn how to install gcc-mingw-w64-base on Ubuntu.

What is gcc-mingw-w64-base

gcc-mingw-w64-base is:

MinGW-w64 provides a development and runtime environment for 32- and 64-bit (x86 and x64) Windows applications using the Windows API and the GNU Compiler Collection (gcc).

This empty package contains the documentation common to all gcc-mingw-w64 packages.

sudo apt-get -y purge gcc-mingw-w64-base

We can use the following command to remove gcc-mingw-w64-base configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge gcc-mingw-w64-base
