What is ganeti-instance-debootstrap
ganeti-instance-debootstrap is:
Ganeti is a virtual server cluster management software tool built on top of the Xen virtual machine monitor and other Open Source software. After setting it up it will provide you with an automated environment to manage highly available virtual machine instances.
This package provides an OS definition for ganeti that will allow installation of Debian (and possibly Unbuntu) instances via debootstrap.
There are three methods to install ganeti-instance-debootstrap on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ganeti-instance-debootstrap Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ganeti-instance-debootstrap using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ganeti-instance-debootstrap
Install ganeti-instance-debootstrap Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ganeti-instance-debootstrap using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ganeti-instance-debootstrap
Install ganeti-instance-debootstrap Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ganeti-instance-debootstrap using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ganeti-instance-debootstrap

sudo apt-get -y purge ganeti-instance-debootstrap

We can use the following command to remove ganeti-instance-debootstrap configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge ganeti-instance-debootstrap
