In this tutorial we learn how to install fonts-linex on Ubuntu.

What is fonts-linex

fonts-linex is:

These fonts include hand writing simulation typographies, ancient Greek and Roman typographies, the institutional fonts for use by the regional government of Extremadura and some other elegant fonts. This is the list of the included fonts:

These fonts have been developed, donated and GPL licensed by Juan José Marcos for their use in the gnuLinEx project.

There are three methods to install fonts-linex on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fonts-linex Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install fonts-linex using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install fonts-linex

Install fonts-linex Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install fonts-linex using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install fonts-linex

Install fonts-linex Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install fonts-linex using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install fonts-linex

How To Uninstall fonts-linex on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the fonts-linex package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove fonts-linex

Uninstall fonts-linex And Its Dependencies

To uninstall fonts-linex and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fonts-linex

Remove fonts-linex Configurations and Data

To remove fonts-linex configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge fonts-linex

Remove fonts-linex configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove fonts-linex configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fonts-linex
