Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install fcc on Ubuntu.

What is fcc

fcc is:

LoopTools is a package for evaluation of scalar and tensor one-loop integrals based on the FF package by G.J. van Oldenborgh. It features an easy Fortran, C++, and Mathematica interface to the scalar one-loop functions of FF and in addition provides the 2-, 3-, and 4-point tensor coefficient functions.

This package provides a script, fcc, to compile C and C++ programs and link them with Fortran libraries.

There are three methods to install fcc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install fcc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install fcc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install fcc

Install fcc Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install fcc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install fcc

Install fcc Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install fcc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install fcc

How To Uninstall fcc on Ubuntu

To uninstall only the fcc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove fcc

Uninstall fcc And Its Dependencies

To uninstall fcc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove fcc

Remove fcc Configurations and Data

To remove fcc configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge fcc

Remove fcc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove fcc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge fcc
