In this tutorial we learn how to install erlang-mimerl on Ubuntu.

What is erlang-mimerl

erlang-mimerl is:

Parse IANA media types (formerly known as MIME types). mimerl provides functions to transform file extension to mimetype, web extension to mimetype, filename to mimetype, web path to mimetype, and to return the list of extensions for a mimetype.

There are three methods to install erlang-mimerl on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install erlang-mimerl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update
