What is emscripten-doc
emscripten-doc is:
Emscripten is an LLVM to JavaScript compiler. It takes LLVM bitcode, also called LLVM IR (which can be generated from C/C++ using Clang, or any other language that can be converted into LLVM bitcode) and compiles that into JavaScript, which can be run on the web (or anywhere else JavaScript can run).
Using Emscripten, you can
- Compile C and C++ code into JavaScript and run that on the web
- Run code in languages like Python as well, by compiling CPython from C to JavaScript and interpreting code in that on the web

There are three methods to install emscripten-doc on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install emscripten-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install emscripten-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install emscripten-doc
Install emscripten-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install emscripten-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install emscripten-doc
Install emscripten-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install emscripten-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install emscripten-doc
How To Uninstall emscripten-doc on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the emscripten-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove emscripten-doc

To uninstall emscripten-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove emscripten-doc

To remove emscripten-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge emscripten-doc
