What is digup
digup is:
digup is a tool to update md5sum or shasum digest files. It will read existing digest files, check the current directory for new, updated, modified, renamed or deleted files and query the user with a summary of changes. After reviewing the updates, they can be written back to the digest file.
There are three methods to install digup on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install digup Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install digup using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install digup
Install digup Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install digup using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install digup
Install digup Using aptitude
