What is caja-admin
caja-admin is:
Caja Admin is a simple Python extension for the Caja file manager that adds some administrative actions to the right-click menu:
- Open as Administrator: opens a folder in a new Caja window running with administrator (root) privileges.
- Edit as Administrator: opens a file in a Pluma window running with administrator (root) privileges.
- Run as Administrator: runs an executable file with administrator (root) privileges inside a MATE Terminal.
There are three methods to install caja-admin on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install caja-admin Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install caja-admin using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install caja-admin

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install caja-admin using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install caja-admin
Install caja-admin Using aptitude
