In this tutorial we learn how to install asterisk-ooh323 on Ubuntu.
What is asterisk-ooh323
asterisk-ooh323 is:
Asterisk is an Open Source PBX and telephony toolkit.
This channel driver (chan_ooh323c) provides support for the H.323 protocol for Asterisk. This is an independent implementation that does not depend on OpenH323, but may be less functional than the original chan_h323.

There are three methods to install asterisk-ooh323 on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install asterisk-ooh323 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install asterisk-ooh323 using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install asterisk-ooh323
Install asterisk-ooh323 Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install asterisk-ooh323 using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install asterisk-ooh323
Install asterisk-ooh323 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install asterisk-ooh323 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install asterisk-ooh323
How To Uninstall asterisk-ooh323 on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the asterisk-ooh323 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove asterisk-ooh323

To uninstall asterisk-ooh323 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
