In this tutorial we learn how to install armagetronad-common on Ubuntu.
What is armagetronad-common
armagetronad-common is:
Armagetron Advanced is a 3D game based on the light cycle racing in the 80s- era movie “Tron”.
You have to control a light cycle that can only turn in steps of 90 degrees, leaves a solid wall behind and can not be stopped. The aim is to survive the longest of all players by not crashing into any walls.
This package contains the common configuration files and documentation shared between the armagetronad and armagetronad-dedicated packages.
There are three methods to install armagetronad-common on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install armagetronad-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install armagetronad-common using apt-get by running the following command:
