In this tutorial we learn how to install argonaut-quota
on Ubuntu.
What is argonaut-quota
argonaut-quota is:
Client / server system for managing systems in collaboration with FusionDirectory (LDAP directory manager). Argonaut also allows interface with deployment tools such as FAI (Fully Automated Install) or OPSI (Open PC Server Integration).
This is a tool that reads info for quota from LDAP and applies it to your quota server. The LDAP information has to be stored using the fdQuota LDAP schema.
There are three methods to install argonaut-quota
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install argonaut-quota Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-quota
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install argonaut-quota
Install argonaut-quota Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-quota
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install argonaut-quota
Install argonaut-quota Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install argonaut-quota
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install argonaut-quota
How To Uninstall argonaut-quota on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the argonaut-quota
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove argonaut-quota
Uninstall argonaut-quota And Its Dependencies
To uninstall argonaut-quota
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove argonaut-quota
Remove argonaut-quota Configurations and Data
To remove argonaut-quota
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge argonaut-quota
