on Ubuntu.
What is aptfs
aptfs is:
AptFs is a FUSE-based filesystem that provides a view to unpacked Debian source packages (obtained via APT) as regular folders. Binary packages are modelled as symbolic links pointing to their respective source package.
There are three methods to install aptfs
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install aptfs Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install aptfs
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install aptfs

To uninstall only the aptfs
package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove aptfs
