Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install angelscript-dev
on Ubuntu.
What is angelscript-dev
angelscript-dev is:
AngelScript features static typing, object handles (similar to C++ pointers but garbage collected via reference counting), object- orientation, single inheritance, multiple inheritance with interfaces. Allows operators to be registered and overloaded. AngelScript can be used with any C++ IDE, such as Netbeans, Geany, and Eclipse.
This package contains the header files for angelscript. Please consult README.Debian for detailed usage.
There are three methods to install angelscript-dev
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install angelscript-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install angelscript-dev
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install angelscript-dev
Install angelscript-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install angelscript-dev
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install angelscript-dev
Install angelscript-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install angelscript-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install angelscript-dev
How To Uninstall angelscript-dev on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the angelscript-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove angelscript-dev
Uninstall angelscript-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall angelscript-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove angelscript-dev
Remove angelscript-dev Configurations and Data
To remove angelscript-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge angelscript-dev
Remove angelscript-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove angelscript-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge angelscript-dev
