Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install ampliconnoise
on Ubuntu.
What is ampliconnoise
ampliconnoise is:
AmpliconNoise is a package of applications to clean up high-throughput sequence data. It consists of three main parts:
Pyronoise - does flowgram-based clustering to spot misreads SeqNoise - removes PCR point mutations Perseus - removes PCR chimeras without the need for a set of reference sequences
Previously there was a standalone “Pyronoise” by the same authors and this package includes an updated version. There is also a “Denoiser” in Qiime which is related but distinct.
There are three methods to install ampliconnoise
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install ampliconnoise Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ampliconnoise
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install ampliconnoise
Install ampliconnoise Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install ampliconnoise
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install ampliconnoise
Install ampliconnoise Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ampliconnoise
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ampliconnoise
How To Uninstall ampliconnoise on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the ampliconnoise
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ampliconnoise
Uninstall ampliconnoise And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ampliconnoise
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ampliconnoise
Remove ampliconnoise Configurations and Data
To remove ampliconnoise
configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ampliconnoise
Remove ampliconnoise configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove ampliconnoise
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
