on Ubuntu.
What is altermime
altermime is:
alterMIME is a small program which is used to alter your mime-encoded mailpacks as typically received by Inflex, Xamime and AMaViS.
alterMIME can: * Insert disclaimers; * Insert arbitrary X-headers; * Modify existing headers; * Remove attachments based on filename or content-type; * Replace attachments based on filename.
There are three methods to install altermime
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install altermime Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install altermime
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install altermime
