In this tutorial we learn how to install acl2-infix on Ubuntu.
What is acl2-infix
acl2-infix is:
ACL2 is both a programming language in which you can model computer systems and a tool to help you prove properties of those models.
This package contains utilities and libraries to access ACL2 via an infix notation similar to that used in many non-lisp programming languages.
There are three methods to install acl2-infix on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install acl2-infix Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install acl2-infix using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install acl2-infix
Install acl2-infix Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install acl2-infix using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install acl2-infix
Install acl2-infix Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install acl2-infix using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install acl2-infix
How To Uninstall acl2-infix on Ubuntu
To uninstall only the acl2-infix package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove acl2-infix
Uninstall acl2-infix And Its Dependencies
To uninstall acl2-infix and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove acl2-infix
Remove acl2-infix Configurations and Data
To remove acl2-infix configuration and data from Ubuntu we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge acl2-infix
Remove acl2-infix configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove acl2-infix configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge acl2-infix
