In this tutorial we learn how to install aasvg
on Ubuntu.
What is aasvg
aasvg is:
A command line tool to convert ASCII art diagrams into SVG.
This is a useful tool for making simple diagrams that render in simple text viewers, but also look clean in a more sophisticated format.
It can be used in combination with ruby-kramdown-rfc2629 and xml2rfc for generating SVG diagrams in RFC documents.
There are three methods to install aasvg
on Ubuntu. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install aasvg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get

sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install aasvg
using apt-get
